Earlewood

Earlewood is a downtown neighborhood that was established in 1910. Earlewood has more than 1000 homes and is one of the largest Downtown Columbia SC neighborhoods. It is located north of Downtown Columbia and surrounds Sunset Blvd, River Drive, and North Main Street. Earlewood is convenient to USC, The Vista, and all of Downtown Columbia.

The North Main Street project replaced water and sewer lines, moved utilities underground, added new sidewalks and gave the look of the area around Earlewood an overall boost. There are many businesses very close to Earlewood such as car detailing, coffee shops, banks and small retail stores. Earlewood has a community organization, ECCO, that represents the residents of Earlewood.

Earlewood Real Estate

Earlewood homes are diverse and include Cape Cod, Bungalow, Traditional, Ranch, Charleston, and Victorian styles. Earlewood also is the home to some high end renovated condos. Because Earlewood is historic and a Design Protection Area, all construction requires special approval.
Earlewood is a historic neighborhood but in recent years several contemporary condo projects have developed. One condo project was born out of Mccants Elementary School. It offers large loft style living. Read more about Mccants School Lofts in this article:
