Lake Carolina is a Northeast Columbia, SCneighborhood. Developers broke ground on Lake Carolina around the year 2000. Lake Carolina has grown to be one of the Columbia’s largest master planned communities.
The community hosts several events on the Village Green throughout the year from Wine Festivals, Easter Egg Hunts, to Oyster Roasts. The Town Center is the community’s retail district featuring local businesses and vendors. This is one of the many reasons Lake Carolinians coined the phrase, “Where you can Live, Work, Play and Learn all right here”.
There are two schools in Lake Carolina: Lake Carolina Elementary and Kelly Mill Middle School. The new Family Jeep Rogers YMCA opened in Lake Carolina to be the South East’s largest YMCA facility. There are more than thirty neighborhoods that make up Lake Carolina. The Lake Carolina neighbrohoods are situated around a 200 acre manmade lake called Lake Carolina. There are more than 30 miles of walking and riding trails in Lake Carolina.
